I am an Illinois-based mixed media artist specializing in handcut collage and illustration. Like many artists, I started drawing at a very young age, and became infatuated with the creative process. For me, this naturally included collecting images and integrating them with my own sketches or paintings. I loved working with my hands so much that I went on to obtain a BFA in Sculpture at the University of Illinois, as well as a certificate in Graphic Design at Parkland College.
Post-graduation, I established my independent studio practice in 2018. My fascination with found imagery has led me on a truly fantastic artistic journey. Through my work, I attempt to explore the theme of pervasive emptiness, which I perceive as a universal human condition.
While my artwork is highly personal, it is my hope that the viewer can find something in it they relate to.
